Old iron needs a patient hand
Carburetors, points, drum brakes and generators are not in a modern shop's daily routine. They are in ours. We diagnose first, explain what we found, and only then touch a wrench.
We focus on keeping classics running and driving. We do not do bodywork, paint or full restorations.
Careful diagnostics
We start by listening, looking and testing, not by replacing parts. Older cars tell you what is wrong if you take the time.
Tune-ups & ignition
Points, condenser, plugs, cap and rotor, dwell and timing. Electronic ignition conversions when you want them.
Carburetor & fuel delivery
Rough idle, flooding, hard hot starts, fuel pump and filter problems, vapor lock on warm San Diego days.
Brakes
Drum and disc service, wheel cylinders, master cylinders, hoses and bleeding, plus front disc setups where the car already has one.
Cooling system
Radiator, hoses, thermostat, water pump, fan clutch and belt work to keep an old engine from running hot in traffic.
Electrical & charging
Generators and alternators, voltage regulators, starters, grounds, lights and gauges, and chasing down old-wiring gremlins.
